Starting from a simple beginning in 1920 as local blacksmiths, Birkhoff Staalbouw (Steel Construction) has grown to become a company which is today:

Based in Pernis in the heart of the Rotterdam dock area and ideally placed to service various European markets, our focus is on Steel Construction and our offering ranges from full Project Management (such as Turnkey work or Back to Back contracts) to provision of standard or specialist steel products. An example major product area for us is Overhead Steel Gantries for Motorways

Sectors served are many, and include Transport, Oil and Gas, Process Industries, Utilities and Energy, and Public Works. Our customer base is stable and includes both large and small and multi-national and local companies

We pride ourselves not only on the quality of our work and operations but also in the safe and skilled way we carry them out. We have various Certifications including ISO9001 and VCA**.

Our workforce is just under 100, split between in-house fabrication and on-site assembly and maintenance personnel and we pay especial attention to their technical skills and safety mindedness.

Much of our work is in new projects, but we are equally at home with renovation, upgrading, on-going maintenance or demolition situations.
